Wood Jewelry
Acrylic Paint causing lid to stick?
I wanted to make a jewelry box for my daughter. I bought the unfinished wood jewelry box from Michaels and wanted to paint it a white color. Only problem is, the first time I attempted this, the paint kept sticking. Like, once I finished painting the jewelry box and gave the paint a couple days to make sure it was fully dry, I closed it up. Well, in a couple hours when I would try to open it, the lid would be stuck to the box. I was told to try finishing it with a clear gloss, which ultimately did not fix the problem. Can any one tell me how to keep my paint from sticking once it’s already dried?
Put some felt bumper buttons on the lid or the surface the lid closes on. Get them at lowe’s or any home hardware store. Cost about $1
