Jade Lion
What does my Jade/silver insense burner symbolize?
I bought an insense burner made of green jade and silver. I bought it from a place that holds meditations and buddhist things. I believe the insense burner is Chinese and it looks exactly like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/China-Old-Red-Jade-Lion-Incense-Burner-/400181692782?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d2cb0096e I found on ebay.
I’m wondering what everything symbolizes. I wanna know if the big dragon and the little dragon are crying or roaring. I wanna know what the ball thing attached to the rope in the other dragons hand means. I also wanna know what the lions on the side symbolize. Or maybe green jade and silver itself symbolize something. Also what’s with the frogs? what do they mean?
I’d like to know anything about it. Anything interesting that may have not been brought up above ^^^
I’m just really curious
That’s only the bottom half of
lions and the color red symbolize yang/fire.
dragons and the metal silver represent yin/water.
Since the lion is in a triumphant position, it think it symbolizes the triumph/strengthening of the yang principal over the yin principal.
Use this burner when you need more yang/male/active/fire/passionate energy.
